Serve

The final step in our Trinity vision is to EQUIP ourselves and our community with the love of God to prepare us for service. To know how God made us, with what talents, and to prepare our hearts and minds to share that love with a world that so  badly needs it. We spread God's love by serving.

Why We Serve

There's no shortage of need in this world. From cleaning up our own streets in Hummelstown to assisting families in financially depressed areas of Kentucky, Trinity disciples know an important part of being in the Trinity family is reaching out to aid those in need. Our church plans a church-wide mission trip every four years for families and all ages of abilities to serve together while our youth (grades 7-12) participate in a yearly mission trip. In addition to mission trips, our Trinity Serves group responds to local needs, partnering with other ministries and working to make a difference in our community.

Serving at Trinity

Serving our church family and being part of community also play an important role in our Trinity family. Whether you serve one Sunday a month or one Sunday a quarter, service provides you the opportunity to meet and connect with new people. With such a wide variety of opportunities, we're confident you'll find a role you're most comfortable and best suited to serve. The first step is always identifying your interests with opportunities. Below are just a few of the ways you can serve. Don't see a place for you? No worries, we have MANY more opportunities. And Kay Baxter, our Discipleship director, is happy to help you connect.

Hospitality Team

Focused on making everyone feel welcome at worship, joining our Hospitality Team lets you serve on a Sunday when you'd be attending worship.  Scheduling is flexible and a variety of roles available.

Media Team

Lights, sound, action! Our Media Team works with leadership to help create our in-house and online worship experiences. Training is provided and all are welcome to join at any time.

Music Groups

Our children's, youth, and adult bell and vocal choirs all bring added joy to our worship experiences. New faces are always welcome to join at any time!

Congregational Care

Detail oriented people looking to help others can plug into our Congregational Care team. Team members coordinate care for our Trinity family, including transportation, meals for new baby families or post-hospital stay persons, and more.

The Shepherd's Closet

Serve directly with our community through our free clothing ministry. Volunteers prepare donations for display and provide assistance to shoppers in need of gently-used clothing and shoes.

Kids Ministries

Teaching our children about Jesus in a welcoming, safe environment is our Kids Ministries #1 priority. All volunteers are subject to safety screenings and attendance requirements before joining the team.

Where to Begin?

Join the PLACE Class

Maybe you already know your gifts or maybe you just THINK you do. Our PLACE Class is designed to help you find how your God-given gifts, experiences, personality, and more all play into finding the perfect place for you to serve. It's part of our Next Steps approach for new disciples, but also offered to anyone at Trinity. Classes are held spring and fall. Click below to learn more.
