Supporting local families for holidays
Our Kids & Youth Ministries lead the way each fall for a Thanksgiving Food Drive to benefit families in the Lower Dauphin School District. Last year we provided 15 families (105 people) with Thanksgiving dinner as well as pantry staples to assist beyond the holiday. This year's efforts are underway, and the need is greater than ever. The drive will run through Sunday, Nov. 8, and anyone may donate items. Needs include Thanksgiving staples like boxed potatoes and stuffing, canned fruits and vegetables, gravy, and dessert mixes as well as pantry items like peanut butter, spaghetti and sauce, and mac and cheese. Items may be dropped off Sunday mornings or during regular business hours. Monetary donations to aid turkey purchases can be made via check to Trinity with “Food Drive” on the memo line and placed in the offering or church office. Last year we served 15 families (102 people). Please contact Sarah Ordille, Kids Ministries director, at 717-566-0252 with questions.
