Our final heresy in our Twisted Truth Summer Series looks at Pelagianism or the idea that humans have the free will by their own power to earn our way to salvation. Certainly our behavior between Sundays matters, but we can't be "Perfectly Saved" by our own actions. The gospel proclaims something far more radical. God does for us what we cannot do ourself: provide grace. Grace is God calling us before we learn how to listen. He frees, heals, empowers, and sustains us. It's a heresy Americans, in particular, tend to love. But it's also a Twisted Truth.
