The Gossiper

Gossip. It's tempting. It can give the gossiper a feeling of power. It's also wildly destructive and been called "the eighth deadly sin." Gossipers speak as if they know the whole truth but rarely do. Gossip is done behind someone's back and most often to hurt someone. Churches have a reputation as being gossip filled--an afront to what the church is actually called to be. To change that, we look at Proverbs, where the early church took on the issue with an effort to build unity rather than destroy.
