Maybe you’re just beginning your search for a church home or maybe you’ve already worshiped with us. Either way, this is a great place to learn more about Trinity. All are welcome. Take your time and look around. We hope you’ll join us in serving Christ!
At Trinity, our mission is to proclaim and live our faith so others may decide for Jesus Christ and together we will grow as disciples. We invite all who crave community and desire to serve God as the living body of Christ to come, work alongside us as we make Christ known in our world.
Trinity’s disciples are committed to spreading the love of God by supporting mission efforts that impact our community, our country and our world. Learn about the missions we’re supporting this year and join us in serving God by providing needed aid to a diverse group of missions.
There are many ongoing ministries at Trinity. Much of our continued support aids those with unique needs in our congregation and local community. From free clothing at The Shepherd’s Closet to gathering essential food staples for the Hummelstown Food Pantry, Trinity is deeply tied to her local community.
Children and Youth Minister
Christel became involved with Trinity in 2004. After connecting with the congregation and teaching Sunday School, she answered the call to become the Children’s Ministries Director in 2007. Since then, the Children and Youth Ministries have joined, changing her title to Children and Youth Minister. Christel finds great joy in watching Trinity’s children grow into teens. She says she is blessed by the support of amazing volunteers who are called to bring the love of Jesus Christ into the lives of these children and youth.
“I believe all children should know the power of God’s love,”Christel says. This belief led her team to start Trinity’s OPEN DOOR program. OPEN DOOR is the philosophy that ALL children, no matter their level of learning or physical ability, should be welcome to experience our children and youth programs. It follows the command of Jesus in Matthew 19:14: “Let the children come to me. Do not hinder them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”
Christel and her husband Scott enjoy kayaking, fishing, and all sorts of outdoor activities. They are proud parents of Torrin, Kiley, Amanda, Kelsie, and Evan. They also enjoy spending time spoiling their baby grand-daughter, Braelyn.
